cibo matto/teen wolf inspired art. I always feel really sorry for Derek, and sort of think of this as his theme song most of the time. He’s such a sad and lost character. And none of the other characters on the show seem to notice or care…
The AO3 Migration
Dear Sterek Fandom-
I’m worried I might sound kind of old asking this… (and if i do its because I am) But is there a reason why most of the sterek community chooses to post fics on ao3 instead of fanfiction.net? like is it a statement? or is there some sort of conflict with FF.net with sterek? Or is it just hipper or something? I just really don’t understand, because you have to wait for an invite to ao3 to post fan fiction, and their search function is really confusing and not very useful for narrowing things down as far as I can tell (I could also just be to old to learn new things on my own, so if you have any tips about using their search function I’d appreciated it!) But I find it really difficult to find things to read over there because of this, even though there’s clearly ten times more sterek fics to read on that site than on ff.net (which i find kind of alarming for some reason, probably because I’m old and out of the loop). I write sterek fics, but I don’t have an account on ao3 and since it seems like that’s where the majority of the fandom has settled, I feel like its almost pointless posting sterek on ff.net. But I also feel ridiculous migrating to a site that doesn’t seem to function as well for no apparent reason other than to follow my fandom herd. I don’t know this is getting really long winded and not making much sense…
Basically I would appreciate some sterek readers and writers telling me if ao3 is your preference and why. And why the fandom has settled there as apposed to ff.net. Because I’m worried I’m missing something fun and important info about this phenomenon. And I would like to understand.
